A.C.T.S. is "A Community Taking a Stand" . . . against hunger, poverty and homelessness!

ACTS takes a stand against hunger... by providing emergency food to over 8,000 needy people each month bringing relief to those who have to choose between paying their rent or feeding their children, to those who struggle to buy their prescription drugs or keep their lights on, and to those may have lost their job or suffered a severe medical catastrophe crippling their household.

ACTS takes a stand against poverty... by providing emergency resources to those in need. Multitudes are suffering due to the economic downturn, and everyday we see a host of poverty-related needs running rampant. By offering a hand-up during crisis situations we believe this makes a happier and more productive community.

ACTS takes a stand against homelessness... by providing emergency shelter to homeless men. What makes our shelter unique is that our "guests" are the success story behind our ability to distribute over 100,000 lbs. of food each month, and in feeding the multitudes - they are our success story!

Our condolences go out to the friends and family of our beloved Felix Ortega, Workforce Manager for ACTS who passed away on Aug. 16, 2011. Felix spent the last years of his life tirelessly working to help those less fortunate than himself. He never asked what was in it for himself, but strived to make life better for others. Those whom you sacrificed for, and we your partners in this endeavor, would like to say one last "thank you"!
