About A.C.T.S.
ACTS Resource Center is
“A Community Taking a Stand”
against hunger, poverty, homelessness.
Our programs provide a food bank, clothing bank, coffee house (free lunches & dinners), drug and alcohol recovery program, educational facility, and provision program for families in crisis.
The Food Bank outreach began in 2003, Nancy Roble had a vision to feed the homeless in her city, Denver, Colorado. She joined with a friend who had a 501c3, who wasn’t using it at the time and he gave it six months. After that time the outreach grew, and grew. So Nancy had a vision to purchase a property for the outreach.
In 2004 an attorney wanted to help Nancy get her own non-profit, and the ACTS II: International was birthed. With the ACTS Ministry a greater vision came…to purchase an Outreach Building, so they could continue to help those in need — the motel people, the bridge and street people, for those in crisis. Not just to offer food to families, but to offer clothes as needed, to feed them a hot meal, and to shelter them in times of great need. The ACTS Ministry is still wanting to purchase that dream, and is hoping that the current building they are in on Clay Street, will one day be theirs.
In January of 2009, a large facility was offered to her outreach. A facility large enough for growth. So we moved to 2450 Clay Street, in Denver. Right near downtown, a short walk from the Mile High Stadium. In a struggling neighborhood, where people are in need. And the Colfax crowd still comes as well. Needless to say, the outreach is exploding!
We are the ACTS Resource Center. Come see what we do. And we want to do more. There is more to do. There is room for you. The need has grown this last year. We need your help. We hope you will join us and also be part of “A Community Taking a Stand!”
